Major Training Groups White Card Course covers the unit of competency ‘CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry’ which is mandatory for anyone who wants to work in the construction industry. Australian regulations state that you must complete Work Health & Safety (WHS) induction training before you can start work in any construction activity.

The white card training we offer in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast is designed to help you increase your skillset and be cleared to work in a variety of safety and construction fields.

Objective Of White Card Construction Training

A White Card earned with Major Training Group is a nationally recognised qualification that will get you work-site ready for a construction or building site. A White Card is mandatory for all construction and building site visitors and employees.

  • How do i get my White Card

    Book into our scheduled classroom delivery and walk out with your White Card the same day as you complete the course. Click Book Now to view upcoming classroom based White Card training dates.

  • After i complete the course, how long do i have to wait to get my White Card?

    Pending document verification and competency has been achieved we will post your White Card out the same business day. If you need it right away call us and we will give you your white card number over the phone.

  • How long does the White Card course take?

    This competency based training can take between 2 and 4 hours depending on your current knowledge of the industry.

    The course will resume where you left off if you don’t have the time to complete it in one session.

    Allow up to 5hrs for classroom based delivery.

  • What if i need a replacement White Card?

    If you need a replacement White Card we can issue you a replacement if you originally did your training with us. Replacement cards cost $40. Give us a call and we can arrange a replacement card to be mailed out to you right away.

  • Is the White Card recognised nationally?

    With the harmonisation of work health and safety laws under the Model WHS Act, the  construction induction card (White Card) is mutually recognised in all states and territories.

    Mutual recognition arrangements amongst the states and territories enhance the capacity of construction workers to move across state/territory boundaries without the need to undertake construction induction training in each jurisdiction.

    If you are unsure which White Card you should complete you can always discuss it with your employer or relevant work health and safety regulatory authority.

  • What do i need to do my White Card course?
    1. General Requirements
      • A basic English language, Literacy and Numeracy skill level is required to complete this course
      • Minimum 15 years of age (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
      • Provide a form of identification, such as Drivers Licence, Medicare Card, Australian Passport or Birth Certificate
      • Provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) on completion of the course. If you do not have a USI, you can create one here http://www.usi.gov.au
    2. Technical Requirements
      • The White Card course is compatible with the following browsers; Google Chrome, IE, Firefox & Safari
        Note: We highly recommend using Google Chrome when undertaking the course
      • The course is designed to be taken on a laptop or PC
      • Internet connection, standard broadband connection recommended
      • Flash player; version 8 (minimum). Download the latest version from www.adobe.com
        Note: Google Chrome has flash already installed and updated
      • Audio: speaker or headphones are recommended as some of the course content is presented using audio

White Card Course Requirements

  • Be able to read and write basic English (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
  • Pass a language, literacy & numeracy assessment (LLN)
  • Minimum 15 years of age (Workplace Health and Safety requirement)
  • Provide two forms of identification
  • Wear covered shoes or boots and a hat during training

You can complete our course at home in Brisbane, on the way to work in Sunshine Coast or even on the Gold Coast beaches.
