Another mining-related short course is the Standard 11 program, the most universally accepted induction program in Australian mining. This course will grant you with a general mining overview whilst also introducing numerous components of the mining industry including legislation, general safety, traffic and mobile equipment procedures, risk management, and life-saving first aid.
Construction Short Courses

To get inducted into the industry, you can take a short course to gain your white card – from there, you can look into an upskilling course such as Certificate I in Construction, CPC30318 Certificate III in Concreting, CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, or CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction. Some of these courses can be completed in as little as 12 months, meaning you can start working sooner.
